Who we are
This website is run by Bellbyrd Studio, based in Adelaide, South Australia. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Bellbyrd Studio. You can reach us at our contact form.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form or email us: your name, email, phone number (optional), business details and anything you choose to tell us.
- Business research. Before contacting a business, we may look at publicly available business information — such as a business name, website, Google Business Profile and published business contact details.
- Client services. If you become a client, the information needed to deliver your website or receptionist, including account access you give us.
- Calls handled for clients. Our AI receptionist answers calls on behalf of our clients. Callers’ details and, where enabled, recordings and transcripts are processed for that client. Callers are told at the start of a call if it is recorded.
This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The self-check and calculator tools run in your browser and don’t send your answers to us. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page first.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal.
- To deliver, support and improve the services you’ve asked for.
- To contact businesses we believe we can help — with a clear way to say no.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Contacting businesses
If we contact your business and you tell us you’re not interested — by replying, unsubscribing or saying so on the phone — we record that and won’t contact you again. Our commercial emails always identify us and include a way to opt out.
Who we share it with
We never sell personal information. We use trusted service providers to run our business — for example website hosting, email, and the AI and telephone providers that power our receptionist. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers to keep it secure.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by emailingour contact form. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, tell us first and we’ll try to fix it. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
